"I moved to St. Thomas in December 2014. I met with three other REALTORS and brokers prior to working with Mr. Van Assche. The service, attention to detail, and complete honesty that Mr. Van Assche provided me were superior to the other professionals I had met and he exceeded all expectations I had. In fact, he showed me more than 20 off-market listings which were superior to the existing market product and I was able to find a completely remodeled home that met all of my expectations. On a side note, it is unfortunate that some individuals have chosen to sling mud at Mr. Van Assche. One such character is Mr. Zerbato (the buyer that I bought my home). This lovely individual chose not to pay the final payments to his professional designer (Tiffany Cassidy, who owns Lagnappe designs) and general contractor (Bill Tynan) so that he could squeeze more money from this deal. When I agreed to buy the home furnished, Mr. Zerbato continuously took items out of the home. When he was questioned, he began screaming at his listing agent and my broker. Obviously, Mr. Zerbato does not have conscious respect for other professional people. It is only from me telling my broker that I would not close on the transaction unless the designer and builder were paid their money (they were ready to file liens on the property - as they should have if they were not paid!), that they were paid. I applaud Mr. Van Assche for not backing down from this slime ball and not compromising his integrity. Mr. Van Assche earned my business and I would refer him to anyone looking to buy, lease or sell property in the USVI."

I had no car and no clue of where to start looking and was facing the prospect of spending tons of money living in a hotel. After one phone call with Nick, I hoped I was in good hands, it turns out I was absolutely right. He picked me up and drove me around the island not only to show me houses but also cared enough to show me where to eat, swim, and hang out, by pointing out some highlights of the island. It was obvious that his day was very busy but he never let me feel that way and was extremely patient with my questions and issues. Nick's professionalism with the owners of the house is something that totally sets him apart from other REALTORS. The sellers trusted Nick very much and with that trust I was able to make a smooth transition from hotel room living to an ocean view villa. Looking back I do not think that the process could have been any smoother and much credit is due to Nick for his attention to detail and total dedication to seeing the process through."
